The honest version.
United Olfactories has a waitlist, and a waitlist needs a way to reach you. Here is everything we take, and everything we do not. It is short, because there is not much.
What we take
Your email. That is nearly the whole of it. If you came through a friend’s link, we also note who sent you, so we can thank them. And we note which button you left your name from, so we know what is working.
While you read
We count a few plain things: that a page was seen, roughly where you arrived from, and how wide your screen is. We do not take your name, your address, your device, or set any tracking cookie. There is no one following you around.
Why
Only to run the waitlist. To send you the one link that confirms your place, to tell you when the first one is ready, and to see where the interest is coming from. Nothing else, and nothing later.
How we hold it
Your email lives on our own server, not rented out to anyone. It is never sold, and never handed to advertisers. We send mail through Resend and receive it through Cloudflare. We keep one small thing in your browser, to remember whether you like the light or the dark. That is the only thing kept there. No cookies.
Leaving
You can leave whenever you like. Ask us to delete you, or to stop writing, and we will. Reply to any email, or write to hello@unitedolfactories.com. A person reads it, and does it by hand.
